Description

Join us for a unique Mappy Hour on Wednesday, April 16th from 8 - 9 pm ET. Learn from our friends at Women in GIS and connect with women in the geospatial field!

Women in GIS (WiGIS) is an international, professional, and social advocacy organization for those who identify as women and their allies. WiGIS is a consortium of those working in geospatial fields facing common professional barriers. The aim of WiGIS is to provide community support and professional resources in geospatial fields.

Hear from Wanmei Liang (Vice President), Katie Grillo, and Pamela Locke (WiGIS Northeast Chapter Co-Chairs).

Registration is free. We're hoping to foster a comfortable environment for folks to discuss common barriers they face in geospatial fields, so this Mappy Hour is reserved for those who identify as women and other marginalized gender identities.

Mappy Hours are virtual gatherings with presentations from community members about OpenStreetMap-related projects or topics. Any recorded past presentations can be found on the OpenStreetMap US YouTube channel.
